Recently the learned scholar, Tahir-Ul-Qadri, issued a fatwa relating to terrorism. Although MPACUK members have a lot of respect for the group and the scholar, we believe in this instance the scholar was out of touch with what was going on in Britain. The fact that leading Islamophobes and Zionists applauded Dr Qadri in the tabloids should have been a signal to those who follow him that he had made a political blunder that anti Muslim elements had used to benefit their case against us. Here our spokesperson on Radio 4 explains what scholars should be saying. If anyone from the Minhaj-ul-Quran feels MPACUK got it wrong, we are more than willing to let them write a counter article or videocast and put this on our site, we are also more than willing to meet with members of the group to discuss the matter further to offer clarification.
